What is the difference between sewage pumps and clean water pumps? The following editor summarizes the three key points:
1. Different media
Generally, sewage pumps process poor water quality, which may contain highly corrosive, easily entangled or bunched fibers. For example, the conveying medium is feces or liquid, containing solid particles such as fibers and paper scraps; while the working conditions of clean water pumps are relatively simple, and the conveying medium is clean water. The material requirements for the product are easier to choose than sewage pumps.
2. Different structures
Because the two process different media, there are also large differences in structural design. Sewage pumps require technology to deal with media with long fibers, paper scraps and other solid particles, so anti-blocking and reliability are important factors in the quality of sewage pumps. Usually, in order to avoid debris blocking the pipeline, the flow channel is generally designed to be very wide.
The clean water pump is composed of a motor and a water pump, and is mainly used to transport clean water. Since the transport medium does not contain impurities and particles, the gap between the impellers of the clean water pump is small, which creates a disadvantage: if debris is generated during the work process, it is easy to block the impeller, and the impeller cannot rotate, and a malfunction will occur.
3. Different application scopes
Sewage pumps are used in the fields of transporting industrial wastewater, pump station drainage, urban flood control and discharge, etc.; while clean water pumps are used in deep well water extraction, agricultural irrigation, marine platforms and other fields.
With the continuous development of water pump technology, single-function clean water pumps and sewage pumps are gradually replaced by sewage/clean water dual-purpose submersible sewage pumps. As a new pump product, it has the characteristics of significant energy saving effect, anti-winding, no clogging, good sealing, high mechanical degree, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, etc. In addition to being suitable for transporting sewage, it can also be used as a drainage pump, pulp pump, irrigation pump, etc., and is widely used in mines, construction sites, hospitals, hotels, sewage treatment and other occasions.
