Product Overview

This sanitary steam trap is designed to efficiently remove condensate in steam sterilization and hygienic process lines. It features a 20–25 Ra internal finish, ensuring no dead space, no contamination, and stable steam temperature throughout the system.

Operating Principle

At system start-up, the thermostatic bellows remains open to release trapped air, non-condensable gases, and low-temperature condensate. As steam reaches the trap, the rising temperature causes the bellows to expand and close the valve. When cooler condensate accumulates around the element, the bellows contracts, lifting the valve from its seat to continuously discharge condensate.

Typical Applications

Widely used in pharmaceutical, biotech, food, dairy, and beverage processing, especially in hygienic SIP/CIP systems, steam distribution points, and tracing lines.

Impact of High-Subcooling Sanitary Steam Traps on SIP Temperature Stability

1. Condensate Accumulation

Sanitary Balanced Pressure Thermostatic Steam Traps with high subcooling remain closed until condensate cools below saturated steam. This can cause clean-steam condensate to accumulate in upstream tubing, where SIP sensors are typically located.

2. Validation Risks

When pooled condensate reaches the sensor, readings can drop by 0.5°C or more, triggering validation alarms. Excessive subcooling in Sanitary Steam Traps is a common cause of SIP temperature instability.

3. Recommended Solution

Choosing a Sanitary Balanced Pressure Thermostatic Steam Trap designed for minimal subcooling is essential. Proper Sanitary Steam Trap selection ensures stable temperatures, reliable sterilizati
