KF Blank Flange Vacuum Fitting - Stainless Steel Cap - Stopper
These Blank Flange fittings follow ISO-KF standards. They are commonly used to build foreline vacuum plumbing and process systems. They are often called quick flange fittings because they are quick to assemble.
A circumferential clamp and centering ring form the vacuum seal between the connecting flanges. The centering ring contains a rubber elastomer o-ring.

Operating Principles
- The design principles of ISO and KF seals are identical. Each flange face is counter-bored or grooved to receive a metal centering ring with an elastomeric o-ring around its O.D. As with KF, the ISO centering ring both aligns the flanges and holds the o-ring in place.
- ISO flanges are limited (by the o-ring's properties) to applications with temperatures between ~0° C and 120–180° C, and pressure from atmosphere to ~10-8 torr or mbar.
Blank flanges are produced without weld preparation or tubing bores. They are typically used to seal off unused ports or can be customized by customers with their own machining capabilities for specific applications.
