The filtering principle of a housing filter cartridge is mainly based on mechanical filtration. The following are its basic filtering principles:
Interception effect: When the fluid (liquid or gas) passes through the filter element, solid particles in the fluid are intercepted by the filter element because their size is greater than the size of the filter pores. The material and structural design of the filter element create pores of various sizes, which can intercept particles ranging from micron-sized to tens of microns.
Adsorption effect: The material of the filter element usually has a certain adsorption capability, which can adsorb oil mist, dust, and other pollutants in the fluid. This adsorption effect helps further remove tiny particles from the fluid.
Deep filtration: Within the internal structure of the filter element, particles form a bridge between the fiber layers to capture smaller particles. This deep filtration mechanism enables the filter element to filter out even smaller particles, improving the filtration efficiency.
Gravity settlement: For large particles, gravity causes them to settle on the surface or within the filter element, thereby reducing the pollutant content in the fluid.
Based on these principles, a housing filter cartridge can effectively remove pollutants such as suspended solids, particulate matter, oil mist, and dust from the fluid, ensuring the cleanliness and purity of the fluid.
